The Suffolk Healers Association has members from all over East Anglia. These members are willing to undertake absent or distant healing and will travel to patients' homes to administer healing, assisting with relaxation, self- awareness, visualisation and meditation. Membership, of Suffolk Healers, at both Probationer level and that of full accredited Healer member is open to all those engaged in the work of Spiritual Healing, primarily in Suffolk, but anywhere in the UK.
Applicants for Registered Healer Membership of Suffolk Healers Association are required to have a personal interview with a senior official of the Association, and are asked to provide satisfactory evidence and testimonials as to their suitability, experience and effectiveness as a healer. All prospective applicants are required to abide by the Suffolk Healers Code of conduct.
Probationer membership is available for all developing and aspiring healers. Such membership enables those wishing to unfold their healing gift, to do so whilst working alongside experienced, fully accredited healers. Probationary membership will last for at least 2 years' in most cases, depending upon individual circumstances. Evidence of supervised training as well as attendance on a recognised Foundation course during the probationary period is required from all those seeking to become accredited Registered Healer Members of the SHA.
One important practical point of membership is that essential insurance cover is given which will enable members to work alongside other health-care professionals, including doctors, when the opportunity arises.
We have a comprehensive Foundation course so that potential healers will have the opportunity to gain proper supervised experience and development training and which is offered in many areas within East Anglia where there are healer training and supervised groups operating.
BECOMING A FRIEND OF THE SUFFOLK HEALERS
Under our Articles of Constitution, we are able to offer Associate Membership to those who are interested in healing and wish to further its cause, but without becoming practising healers.
Such Associate Members are regarded as being, 'Friends of Suffolk Healers'. As such they receive the same Newsletters and other literature, which are sent to our Registered and Trainee Members.
However, 'Friends of Suffolk Healers' are not permitted to carry out contact healing and consequently, they are covered for insurance purposes under our Public Liability Insurance Policy. This is reflected in the annual subscription for Friends, which is currently £5-00.
As Friends of Suffolk Healers, you are invited to take an active part in our 'Distant Healing Network', called 'The Circles of Light'. This is administered by one of our members, who, on request, will be pleased to supply you with brief details of a person or persons to whom you are invited to send healing thoughts and prayers.
Due to the confidential nature of the information received from those seeking our help, it is not possible to put you in direct contact with the person or persons concerned. However, whenever possible progress reports will be passed on.
Many healers consider Distant (or Absent) Healing as effective as actual contact Healing. Certainly we have received numerous testimonials from people who have been helped in this way.
Of course, having engaged in our distant Healing Network for a while, you may wish to consider enrolling as a Trainee, (Probationary) Member. Depending on individual circumstances, Probationary Membership usually lasts for a minimum of 2 years.
From time to time, we organise various workshops on various topics to appeal and interest our members as well as a wider cross-section of the public.
